ARTiST PANELS - Good quality, smooth primed board, suitable for oil painting acrylics, drawing and mixed media.

The smooth finish is especially suitable for the fine art of oil painting and glazing techniques, which require smooth flowing brush marks and hyper realistic details.

On the other hand, our artist panels are also suitable for palette knife techniques.

Artist Panels are pressed fiberboard made of MDF where both sides are provided with a hard white smooth foil. The foil is durable and prevents excessive absorption of paint, resulting in a uniform and smooth finish with less paint.

The ready-to-paint foil does not have to be primed and is highly scratch-resistant, wear-resistant, shock-resistant and colored through-and-through.

All cut edges are treated and sealed with black gesso.

For an even smoother finish, paint can be applied with a brush, roller or sprayed.

Production process MDF lacquer film ( International Plywood )
"MDF paint foil is manufactured in a continuous process (Continious Pressed Laminate CPL) The pre-impregnated support is rolled from a roll on the pre-glued plate at a temperature of about 185 degrees C (hot pressing), so that curing of the glue takes place.

The plate is square-edged, the film has excellent adhesion and gives excellent paint adhesion. The paint foil is applied through hot pressing to prevent any chance of delamination.

Applications
Suitable for drawing, oil painting acrylics, collage, montage and mixed media.

CARE & CLEANING

Our student art panels are affordable, quite hardy and most finger prints, general stain or scuff can be removed with a lick of either turpentine and / or use a dab of benzine, for the more stubborn marks.
